Walk into any fraternity house in a United States college or university and you are bound to find at least one, if not several beer pong tables. For some, this phrase may sound as foreign as Japanese, for others, especially recent graduates, it brings back fuzzy memories of parties, friends, and, of course, beer.
Beer pong sounds like a strange sport that is not played on a court or in a gym. It can be played indoors or outdoors and requires no skill, although the players should be over the age of twenty one. In the end, nobody really loses because many laughs are had and friends made over the toasting of plastic beer filled cups.
Equipment for play is easy to find and inexpensive. Little plastic balls, good friends, a large quantity of beer, and a table are needed to conduct a game. If you have trouble finding the last item, its time to access your creativity!
A standard gaming table can be used, although if you want to preserve the condition of it, it is not advisable to use one for this game. It will no doubt be saturated with frothy liquid by the end of the night. Many people decide to start a game at the last minute and are then forced to improvise with what they have in the moment. The other team must toss little balls into the cups that have been filled with beer. When someone manages to get a ball into a cup, a player from the other team has to drink the beer in that cup. After one team has successfully cleared all the cups off the other teams side, they are declared the winners.
